It’s Thursday…
President Shitshow’s public schedule for…

Before we talk about Thanksgiving: yesterday, two National Guard members were shot in D.C. by what officials described as a lone gunman. This morning, at a press briefing that felt less like a presser and more like competitive finger-pointing, D.C. U.S. Attorney Jeanine “Wino” Pirro publicly identified the injured guards members as Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, 24, and Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, both of the West Virginia National Guard.
West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey (R) initially reported that the two guardsmen had died as a result of their injuries.

Shortly after he confirmed their deaths, he walked it back.

President “That Makes Things Worse” managed, briefly, to not make things worse in his first public post about the National Guard shooting. The downturn arrived later: in his spoken remarks, where nuance took the day off and blame RSVP’d early.

Not content with leaving it there, he announced that he would be addressing the nation following the tragic event.

“Full force of Justice”…

President Terrible:
This heinous assault was an act of evil, hatred, and terror. It was a crime against our entire nation, against humanity itself. The hearts of all Americans are with the two members of the West Virginia National Guard and their families. The love of the country is pouring out for them, and Americans are lifting them up in prayer.
Even as the country absorbs the anguish and grief of the shooting, it is also filled with righteous anger and unshakeable resolve. I am determined to ensure that the perpetrator pays the steepest possible price. As President of the United States, I will make sure that the one who committed this atrocity answers for it with the full force of justice.
This is Biden’s fault…

President Terrible:
I can report tonight that, based on the best available information, the Department of Homeland Security is confident that the suspect in custody is a foreigner who entered our country from Afghanistan, a hellhole on Earth. He was flown in by the Biden administration in September 2021, on those infamous flights that everybody was talking about. Nobody knew who was coming in. Nobody knew anything about it. His status was extended under legislation signed by President Biden, a disastrous president, the worst in the history of our country.
This attack underscores the single greatest national security threat facing our nation. The last administration let in 20 million unknown and unvetted foreigners from all over the world, from places that you don’t want to even know about. No country can tolerate such a risk to our very survival.
An example is Minnesota, where hundreds of thousands of Somalians are ripping off our country, and ripping apart that once great state. Billions of dollars are lost, and gangs of Somalians come from a country that doesn’t even have a government, no laws, no water, no military, no nothing, as their representatives in our country preach to us about our Constitution, and how our country is no good.

Was vetted before working the CIA by the NCTC:

Regarding Rahmanullah Lakanwal, alleged shooter of two National Guard in DC.
•He previously served in NDS-03, one of Afghanistan’s elite counterterrorism units operated by the CIA with direct U.S. intelligence and military support. Entry to the United States
•The individual was evacuated by the U.S. military in August 2021 following the fall of Kabul.
•He arrived under humanitarian parole, the temporary authority used to evacuate tens of thousands of American citizens, lawful permanent residents, SIV applicants, and at-risk Afghan partners.
•He was later granted asylum in April 2025.
Immigration Pathway
•He had an active SIV application underway and had received Chief of Mission (COM) approval but had not yet been granted lawful permanent residence.
•Instead, he applied for asylum during the Biden administration, but his asylum was approved under the Trump administration.
•Both his Chief of Mission application and his asylum application required review and vetting by the U.S. government, including the CIA.
•Asylum is a permanent status granted by USCIS after reviewing: identity and background checks ◦biometric vetting, ◦in-person interviews,
◦an assessment of individualized risk and eligibility under U.S. law.
•Asylees can apply for lawful permanent residence one year after being granted asylum.

Asked about the shooters legal status, Kash “I play the role of FBI Director” Patel directed all inquiries to the Department of Homeland Security.
REPORTER: Can you clarify the timeline of when the suspect was granted asylum?

The estimated population of Somalians in Minnesota is under 100,000.
The fraud case(s) seems to be based on reporting from a nonprofit conservative think tank according to KTTC:
Late last week, City Journal published a report “The Largest Funder of Al-Shabaab Is the Minnesota Taxpayer.” City Journal is part of the Manhattan Institute, which is a nonprofit conservative think tank based in New York.
KTTC has not been able to independently verify City Journal’s claim.

On Monday, 50 members of the Minnesota House GOP caucus penned their names a similar letter to Rosen. Southeast Minnesota Reps. Peggy Bennett, Greg Davids, Steve Jacob, Patricia Mueller and Duane Quam signed the Nov. 24 correspondence.
“The sprawling fraud that has become endemic under Governor Walz’s failed leadership is troubling enough for Minnesota taxpayers; the notion that these dollars could be flowing to foreign terrorist organizations adds a truly disturbing additional element,” the state Republicans wrote. “If confirmed to be true, immediate action must be taken at the state and federal level to crack down on remittances and other payments that are making their way to terrorist organizations.”
The letters referenced the Feeding Our Future fraud scheme and fraud within the state’s Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) program.
According to federal investigators and prosecutors, the $250 million Feeding Our Future case exploited a federal child nutrition program meant to feed hungry children during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nearly 80 people have been charged, including a handful from Rochester.

To sum up:
Rahmanullah Lakanwal, the individual accused in the shooting of two West Virginia National Guard members in Washington, D.C., entered the United States in 2021 following the fall of Kabul, through an evacuation process that included government security screening. According to national media reporting, he applied for asylum in 2024, and law-enforcement sources stated to reporters that his asylum status was granted in April 2025.
Claims that Minnesota’s Somali community numbers in the hundreds of thousands are inaccurate; the population is estimated in the tens of thousands. The fraud scheme frequently referenced in political debate, Feeding Our Future, involved pandemic-era child-nutrition aid vulnerabilities, was investigated beginning in 2022, and resulted in 78 federal charges. There is no public record connecting that case to the National Guard shooting.
The injured guards members, Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, 24, and Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, remain in critical condition. The focus should stay on their recovery, their families, and the systemic oversight failures that allowed pandemic-aid fraud to occur, not exaggerated narratives about entire communities.
I wish all Blender a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving Day. May you eat yummy food, watch football, and find your joy in whatever way’s you can. Remember our joy is resistance.
I’m thankful for each and every one of you.
