President Biden Tweets for Tuesday’s Open Thread

Pardon Our Mess. Photo by Marty Mankins.

It’s Tuesday.

For Tuesday, July 6th, 2021, President Biden has received his daily brief. This afternoon he will receive a briefing from the White House COVID-19 Response Team, that briefing is closed to press. After his meeting with the COVID-19 Response Team he will hold a press briefing. It’s either at 2:45 p.m. D.C., time or 3:15 p.m. D.C., time.

The above was found after the below. I added it.

At 5:54 a.m. CA., time, President Biden hasn’t tweeted. That is likely to change through the course of my writing the article. Any Tuesday tweets will be posted toward the end of the article.

When Monday’s Open Thread was posted President Biden had 1 tweet and had no retweets. He added 2 more tweets giving him a Monday’s Tweeting Total of 3 tweets and 0 retweets.

Both added tweets are video sniped from his remarks on the 4th of July during a celebration held at the White House. The White House published the following *transcript of his remarks.

*I remove the words in parentheses such as “laughter” or “applause” just to save space*

The first video is 1 minute and 23 seconds long.

President Biden (2:22): This year, the Fourth of July is a day of special celebration, for we are emerging from the darkness of years; a year of pandemic and isolation; a year of pain, fear, and heartbreaking loss. Just think back to where this nation was a year ago.  Think back to where you were a year ago.  And think about how far we’ve come. From silent streets from silent streets to crowded parade routes lined with people waving American flags; from empty stadiums and arenas to fans back to their seats cheering together again; from families pressing hands against a window to grandparents hugging their grandchildren once again. We’re back traveling again.  We’re back seeing one another again.  Businesses are opening and hiring again.  We’re seeing record job creation and record economic growth — the best in four decades and, I might add, the best in the world.

The second video is 26 seconds long.

President Biden (4:52): [Don’t get me wrong, COVID-19 is — has not been vanquished.] We all know powerful variants have emerged, like the Delta variant, but the best defense against these variants is to get vaccinated. My fellow Americans, it’s the most patriotic thing you can do.  So, please, if you haven’t gotten vaccinated, do it — do it now for yourself, for your loved ones, for your community, and for your country.

President Biden: [The text written in the tweet] (5:53): We never again want to be where we were a year ago today. So, today, while the virus hasn’t been vanquished, we know this: It no longer controls our lives.  It no longer paralyzes our nation.

Since it’s only 7:13 a.m. CA., time I thought I’d include some off topic tweets of interest. Mine, possibly, your interest.

I saw this with my first cup of coffee…

The shared article is from February 2021, when Joseph Cable Barnes was arrested. By my 4th-ish cup coffee I saw the below tweet…

It appears that according to the screen snips, the court has been notified of the defendants death. The second screen shot from the City of Austin says that Barnes, on June 12th, 2021, while riding a motorcycle ran a red light and crashed into a 2015 Toyota Avalon and died at the scene. The driver of the Avalon was taken to the local hospital with minor injures.

After I checked my Twitter account, it’s something I do, almost every morning first, okay, in fairness, I typically log in to the Blender first make sure it’s not down or something weird has happened, then I switch to Twitter without reading the comment section.

Once I see that no, Impeached Twice 45 hasn’t been welcomed back to Twitter, President Biden hasn’t started a war, and there really is no “breaking”–breaking news, I venture over to the comment section where I see what you peeps have talked about so far.

Today, I found this posted by Demo or D, which is what I call him, cause that’s easier than his actual user name….( Demosthenes).

For those unable to access the linked New York Times article. The New York Times has posted the 40 minute and 32 second article via YouTube. One of the contributors of the documentary posted the following pinned comment on the YouTube video.

YouTube pinned comment. 07/06/2021. (The comment was issued 07/01/2021).

It feels as if it happened a lifetime ago, then sometimes, it feels like yesterday and then I recall tweets like this…

And just today…

Once I’ve seen this latest outrage, I’m hit in the face with hypocrisy and all their bitching, which might be legit upset, turns fake to me because these same assholes, defend this…

Maybe defend isn’t the right word, but they do very much allow assholes on their shows to defend the insurrectionist. They beat officers with our flag, they damaged federal property, they had plans, desires, what the fuck ever you call it, to hang our at the time VP Mike Pence for not sending EC’s back to states in the hopes to overturn a legit Presidential Election or maybe they hoped Pence would just give it all to Impeached Twice 45? Where is their outrage over that?

Oh, right, directed at the Democrats daring to say we investigate 01/06/2021, over CRT, a law school post graduate class, that they acknowledge isn’t being taught in k-12 classrooms, over athletes that kneel or turn their back on our flag. But not a lick of outrage can be given or spared to 01/06/2021.

Oh-M-G…while wrapping up this section of my coffee talk thoughts I found this from last night…

See? They can’t win for losing, which apparently they didn’t, it’s being said they won 4-0. I verified they did beat Mexico 4-0 via Google.

And on a positive note, let’s give up to the 92 year old veteran that played the Star Spangled Banner on the harmonic. Since I played that song on my clarinet for 10 years (or more) of my life. I can safely say, that shit ain’t easy.

I promise I was gonna stop there, but then I found this…and I lol’d.

Who knew that not all speech is acceptable speech on a public social media forum???

Everyone knew, but apparently Miller, who is now learning that lesson via Furry might be copyrighted Porn. LOL. LOL. LOL.

The White House press briefing is schedule for 12:30 p.m. D.C., time.

President Biden will offer remarks on the coronavirus response and vaccination program at 2:45 p.m. D.C., time according to Daniel Dale’s (finally, dude, I was getting nervous) posted Presidential schedule.

This is an Open Thread.

P.S., it’s official President Biden hasn’t tweeted for Tuesday, so far.

Minutes after I posted so did he…

*shrug*
