The House Intelligence Committee has released its final report on their investigation concerning the Russian involvement in the 2016 election and any collusion between the Trump and/or Clinton campaigns and the Russians. The investigation was led by Rep. Mike Conaway (R-TX), pictured below, after Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), Chairman of the Committee, stepped aside due to actions he took that some believe to be inappropriate.

From FoxNews
The Republican-authored report — released over Democratic objections — stated the committee “found no evidence that the Trump campaign colluded, coordinated, or conspired with the Russian government.” The committee did, however, “find poor judgment and ill-considered actions by the Trump and Clinton campaign.”
Further
The committee also found that there was “no evidence that Trump campaign associates were involved in the theft or publication of Clinton campaign-related emails, although Trump associates had numerous ill-advised contacts with WikiLeaks.”
Wouldn’t the ill-advised contacts actually be evidence? It seems to me that this sentence alone pretty much undermines the report. Whether that evidence was enough to conclude there was any substantial collusion or any at all, is certainly not clear, but that there was “no evidence” seems disingenuous.
From CNN
But Democrats say Republicans failed to interview key witnesses and issue subpoenas to obtain necessary information, and were not interested in uncovering collusion. They are now continuing their own investigation without Republicans into Russia’s election meddling. They released a 98-page minority views document that pushes back on the Republican conclusions.
Of course, President Trump was quick to jump on the “great news”:
Just Out: House Intelligence Committee Report released. “No evidence” that the Trump Campaign “colluded, coordinated or conspired with Russia.” Clinton Campaign paid for Opposition Research obtained from Russia- Wow! A total Witch Hunt! MUST END NOW!
