The News Blender–“Lopez Obrador has some Mexican businessmen concerned; there are many comparisons made between Lopez Obrador and Hugo Chavez, comparisons which look reasonable when AMLO states that he wants to draft a new, moral Constitution for Mexico (Yucatan Times) and attacks the Mexican Supreme Court. (Bloomberg). Others say it is merely rhetoric, that he has matured and is merely looking to consolidate his power base before enacting needed – but limited – changes.”

Monday

During the joint press conference between Prime Minister Mark Rutte and President Trump, the PM says, “No, it’s not positive, we have to work something out,” the exchange happened as President Trump was discussing “fair trade,” in relation to foreign cars being sold to American’s.

The News Blender–“North Korea experts and US intelligence officials note that the denuclearization promises Kim Jong Un made to President Trump are a repeat of assurances made for the last twenty years as North Korea continued to secretly advance their nuclear program.”

Fox News reported on Monday that Iranian Hojjat-al-Islam Mojtaba Zolnour, chairman of Iran’s parliamentary, leveled the allegation that during the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action negotiations the Obama Administration granted citizenship and/or residency to 2500 Iranian officials children, “When Obama, during the negotiations about the JCPOA, decided to do a favor to these men, he granted citizenship to 2,500 Iranians and some officials started a competition over whose children could be part of these 2,500 Iranians.” The allegation was made during an interview given to the Etemad newspaper, cited by the country’s Fars News agency.

The Fox News article also explains that there is no evidence to suggest the cleric’s claims to be true or that any of the Iranians that are currently in the U.S. related to members of the Iran government were issued favors in return for signing the Nuclear Deal.

The News Blender reported that Harley-Davidson is shifting part of their production overseas in order to stay competitive in Europe in light of the trade-war that is brewing between the U.S. and several countries. In 2017 Europe was Davidson’s 2nd largest consumer base, the company sold 40,000 units.

CNBC reported on Tuesday that Davidson has said, “No production will be moving to Europe as a result of the tariffs, according to the company. Harley’s overseas manufacturing plants are in Brazil, India, Australia and Thailand. In the U.S., the company is shutting down a Kansas City, Missouri, factory and transferring operations to York, Pennsylvania.” Which would mean that Harley-Davidson is simply going to not sale American made bikes to the EU. Instead the company would sell bikes manufactured at one of their already overseas branches.

NSA issued a public statement on June 28th, that indicated they had begun deleting as of “May 23, 2018, NSA began deleting all call detail records (CDRs) acquired since 2015 under Title V of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).” The statement explains that an NSA analysts noted “technical irregularities in data,” the agency received from telecommunications service providers, this irregularity led to the collection of data that NSA was not authorized to collect, so they along with the DOJ and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence concluded the best way to handle the error was deleted records from 2015. The end the statement by saying, “NSA notified the Congressional Oversight Committees, the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, and the Department of Justice of this decision. The Department of Justice, in turn, notified the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. The root cause of the problem has since been addressed for future CDR acquisitions, and NSA has reviewed and revalidated its intelligence reporting to ensure that the reports were based on properly received CDRs.”

There is no evidence to suggest this and the Special Counsel Russian Probe are connected in anyway, nor is there information available at this time to know what “triggered,” the President’s tweet on information that has been public since June 28th.
