It’s Sunday.
On Friday President Trump declared a National Emergency in order to build a border wall at the Southern Border, he explained at his press conference that, “I didn’t have to do this, but I’d rather do it much faster.”
Key moment from Trump's remarks today: He accidentally admits "I didn't need to do this" with regard to his national emergency declaration.

On Friday President Trump signed a bi-partisan funding bill that averted a second government shutdown, afterward President Trump traveled to Florida.
J.D. Durkin citing a source “at Trump International Golf Club, in Palm Beach,” posted a picture of President Trump at the “omelette bar,” on Saturday.
On Saturday morning President Trump re-tweeted once, a 22 second video clip taken from his press conference on Friday.
Saturday evening President Trump tweeted 4 times, and re-tweeted 4 times.
Saturday
1. All Caps…
2. Billions of Dollars are being paid to the United States by China in the form of Trade Tariffs!
3. The Caliphate is ready to fall.
4. We are pulling back after 100% Caliphate victory!
The re-tweets: RD, who says in his bio he is a “proud defender of our President Donald J. Trump. He re-tweets Judicial Watch founder Tom Fitton 3 times.
Opinion:
If the wall is being built where is the “emergency?”
As many Twitter users explained to President Trump, tariffs, are taxes on the U.S. consumer, China is paying little, while American tax payers are shouldering the burden of higher costing products.
Sunday
1. Important meetings and calls on China Trade Deal, and more, today with my staff.
As a reminder: The U.S. and China have until March 2nd to reach a new trade deal, if the deal is not reached by March 2nd, it’s highly probable the current tariffs will rise to 25 percent.
2. Mitch should not let Senate go home until all are approved.
The Republicans hold the majority in the Senate.
According to The Washington Post as of February 14th, 2019, the senate has confirmed 431 of President Trump’s nominees, while 128 have been formally nominated, and another 4 are awaiting nomination.
According to the article 147 positions have no nominee.
3. The “people” are SMART!
The 52 percent figure came from Rasmussen Reports “daily Presidential Tracking Poll,” as of Friday the current daily approval for President Trump’s job, is 50 percent, where as his disapproval is 49 percent.
4. Question is, how do the Networks get away with these total Republican hit jobs without retribution?…This is the real Collusion!
5. All Caps…
Saturday Night Live (SNL) ran a cold open with Alec Baldwin once again playing President Trump. This time the feature jabbed at his press conference from Friday.
From the presser Friday, President Trump in a weird singsong voice explained that he realizes he’ll be sued to stop the “emergency declaration,” to build and fund border wall.
In a bizarre sing-song cadence, Trump acknowledges that his national emergency will face legal challenges, but expresses hope that SCOTUS will eventually rule in his favor. pic.twitter.com/F4DCzKrsns

Opinion.
As the Washington Post points out Saturday Night Live has been mocking President’s since President Ford.
As a side note, in a segment from Saturday’s “weekend update” they also poked fun at Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
And to answer President Trump’s question how come they suffer no “retribution,” because we are a Constitutional Republic, that does not allow the government to in fact pass “speech laws” SNL, love them, hate them, whatever, they are protected from government “retribution.”
Also as an aside, I find it ironic that a man that calls Senator Schumer, “Cryin’ Chuck Shumer,” and another Senator “Lyin’ Ted Cruz,” plus a woman he is alleged to have not only had an affair with, but also paid to silence said woman in order for that woman’s story not to harm his chances at becoming President, “horseface,” dares to question the 1st amendment.
As a reminder, President Trump is the President of the United States of America, he swore an oath to defend the very Constitution he continues to question and mock.
He has tweeted two more times both clips from Friday’s press conference.
Today’s Trump’s Tweets is not the open thread for the Open Thread at the News Blender.
