It has been 58 days since Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) launched a formal Impeachment Inquiry into President Donald Trump.
Currently happening as a result of that inquiry is day 5 of public hearings led by the House Intelligence Committee. Testifying today is Fiona Hill, former Trump appointee to the National Security Council and David Holmes who works in the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.

There is little evidence to support the idea that Special Counsel Robert Mueller “went over” all of the President’s financial records.
There is no mention inside the Mueller Report. When asked by the House Intelligence Committee about President Trump’s taxes, he declined to answer. (pg. 85 of the linked transcript to his testimony).

A judge has said that President Trump while candidate-Trump defrauded his own charity.
The New York Southern District is attempting to collect financial records to determine if President Trump was involved with campaign finance violations in connection with his former personal attorney Michael Cohen regarding hush money payments to two women that have said they had sexual relations with then-Business man Trump.
Michael Cohen is currently serving time in prison for in part campaign finance violations which he said in open court he committed at the direction of the President.

There is nothing that prevents any committee from holding “impeachment” hearings. Articles of impeachment if filed will be filed by the Judiciary Committee, the Committee that the House Intelligence Committee will hand off to at the conclusion of their investigation.
