On Thursday the House Intelligence Committee holds round five of public Impeachment Inquiry hearings. Today’s hearing only features a morning session.

Appearing before the Committee is former National Security Council senior director for Europe and Russia, Dr. Fiona Hill. Hill’s deposition was held on October 14th, her testimony was released to the public on November 8th.

Hill is likely to testify to comments she heard regarding the irregular channel used to attempt to secure an investigation by the Ukraine Government into President Trump’s political rival former Vice President Joe Biden. She will likely be asked about her now infamous quote of what then-National Security adviser John Bolton told her after a July 10th meeting.

You go and tell Eisenberg [NSC counsel] that I am not part of whatever drug deal Sondland [U.S. Ambassador to the Ukraine] and Mulvaney [acting Chief of Staff] are cooking up on this. And you go and tell him what you’ve heard and what I’ve said.

Hill Testimony.

Also appearing with Hill is a political counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine David Holmes. He sat for his deposition on November 15th. His testimony was released to the public on November 18th.

Holmes will likely be asked about a conversation he testified that he overheard between Sondland and President Trump on July 26th, the day after the President spoke with President Zelensky.

Sondland: [Zelensky] loves your ass.
Trump: So he’s going to do the investigation? [into the Biden’s].
Sondland: He’s going to do it. [Zelensky will] do anything you ask him to.

The conversation switches to an American rapper A$AP Rocky who ran into legal trouble in Sweden. At this point Holmes says he could only hear Sondland’s side of the conversation.

Once the phone call ended Holmes testify’s that he asked Sondland if it was true that President Trump did not give a shit about Ukraine. Holmes says that Sondland agreed explaining that President Trump only cared about “big stuff.”

Holmes went on to say that Sondland explained the “big stuff” was stuff like the “Biden investigation,” that would benefit President Trump.
