CNN explained on Tuesday that this will be Dumb Barr’s first appearance before the House Judiciary Committee, ever.
Barr has never appeared before the House Judiciary Committee — either while attorney general in the George H.W. Bush administration or since his February 2019 Senate confirmation. He last appeared on Capitol Hill before the Senate Judiciary Committee in May 2019.

The Democrats are as Axios notes expected to press Barr on his politicizing the Department of Justice.
The counsel noted that members will bring up several different subjects — including the firing of inspectors general from several government agencies; the forced removal of George Floyd protesters from Lafayette Square last month; and lingering questions about his handling of the Mueller report and Trump’s subsequent impeachment trial.

What they will claim is Barr’s “outstanding efforts to restore law and order in liberal cities that are under attack from violent left-wing mobs.”
Barr “cleaning up the mess made by the Obama/Biden Justice Department,” specifically in relation to FBI surveillance of Trump’s 2016 campaign.
Defending Barr from the Democrats’ “endless fishing expeditions” against the president and his administration.

On Monday evening, the Victim Barr released his opening statement, in which he whines that ever since he said he was going to get to the bottom of the “grave abuses involved in the bogus “Russiagate,”” scandal the Democrats have been furious with the Poor Barr.
Ever since I made it clear that I was going to do everything I could to get to the bottom of the grave abuses involved in the bogus “Russiagate” scandal, many of the Democrats on this Committee have attempted to discredit me by conjuring up a narrative that I am simply the President’s factotum who disposes of criminal cases according to his instructions. Judging from the letter inviting me to this hearing, that appears to be your agenda today. So let me turn to that first.
