The New York Times reported on Wednesday that Federal investigators in Manhattan have executed a search warrant at the Upper East Side apartment of one former mayor of New York and personal lawyer to the former loser of the United States, Donald Trump, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.
Federal investigators in Manhattan executed a search warrant on Wednesday at the Upper East Side apartment of Rudolph W. Giuliani, the former New York City mayor who became President Donald J. Trump’s personal lawyer, stepping up a criminal investigation into Mr. Giuliani’s dealings in Ukraine, three people with knowledge of the matter said.

Giuliani’s lawyer Robert Costello is quoted in the article as saying; What they did today was legal thuggery. Why would you do this to anyone, let alone someone who was the associate attorney general, United States attorney, the mayor of New York City and the personal lawyer to the 45th president of the United States.
CNN reported that the investigation into whether Giuliani conducted illegal lobbying for Ukrainian officials, while he also sought dirt on then candidate Joe Biden, now President, has been on-going for two years.
Both the CNN and New York Times had reported in February and March of 2021, that according to people familiar with the matter New York federal prosecutors had sought a search warrant last year, but were met with resistance from former Attorney General Barr’s Department of Justice.

They have turned to McLiar for her hot take on the warrant. She did call President Biden, President Biden and reminded viewers that President Biden had “promised us an independent DOJ,” adding she hopes that’s the case.

Also as a reminder; Giulani is not the first personal lawyer of Twice Impeached dumbass former President Trump to face criminal justice. His other personal attorney Michael Cohen was also raided by the Fed’s and pleaded guilty to crimes.
As the News Blender covered at the time, former asshole’s first response to the news that Cohen had been raided was to tweet out “attorney client privilege is dead.”
He also said during a cabinet meeting that the Cohen Raid was a disgrace and an attack on our country. Of course he didn’t stop there, he had to toss his then AG Sessions under the bus…good times…
