We have made it to the fourth and final day of the Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

As mentioned on Sunday, Thursday’s hearing: the committee will hear from the American Bar Association, which evaluates the qualifications of nominees to the federal bench, and outside witnesses. Witnesses and senators will have five minutes each for statements and questions, respectively.

The tweet was posted on March 18th, 2022, so not exactly “breaking news.”

The Senate Judiciary Committee posted a list of today’s witnesses:

Day 3 recap:

Much like Wednesday’s recap this one, will also contain nothing more than my awe that Judge Jackson didn’t crack and tell Senator Ted Cruz to go fuck himself with a rusty rake sideways.

This whole week, I’m reminded why Congress is so broken. They don’t as a whole respect the process it is as Senator Ben Sasse said in Wednesday’s hearing:

Now, he probably totally meant both sides, but he’s not wrong. We saw a bunch of Jackassery in the last 3 days from men and a “woman” already planning on voting “no” to confirm Judge Jackson.

Never mind they already did vote last year to confirm her; they don’t care and they know their base isn’t going to care either.
