It’s Thursday.

When Biden Bits was posted for Wednesday, President Biden had not tweeted. He ended up with a Wednesday Tweeting Total of 3 tweets and 0 retweets.

He’s referencing Florida Senator Rick Scott’s (R) 11-point plan of dumbness. You can find more about how dumb it actually is @ the News Blender

He’s talked about in remarks. But I can’t pinpoint exactly where.

The YouTube is 1 hour and 17 minutes, President Biden begins his remarks at the 36 minute and 56 second mark. His full remarks can be found here.

He’s tweeted 2 times so far…

On 06/02/2022, President Biden offered remarks on the recent tragic mass shootings.

President Biden: (08:16) Fort Hood, Texas, 2009 — 13 dead and more than 30 injured. Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, 2018 — 17 dead, 17 injured.

President Biden: (08:35) Red-flag laws could have stopped both these shooters.

The video is 1 minute and 36 seconds long. It’s part of his “on the line” series that paused for a bit. Apparently it’s back on…

In this conversation with the President is different retailers and company presidents.

President Biden: As you know, one of the big reasons why prices are going up is the cost of shipping things across the Pacific, in particular. There’s only nine shipping companies–nine, [he repeats nine again, this time spelling it out] major ocean line shipping companies who ship from Asia to the United States. These companies have raised their prices by as much as 1,000 percent. How much have your costs gone up?

Wade Miquelon CEO & President of Jo-Ann Stores: Almost by 100 million dollars. We’re not a huge company, but that 100 million dollars increase that they passed on to us is you know, more than our entire profit.

Vincent “Zippy” Duvall President of the American Farm Bureau Federation: They are depending on us to be able to deliver those products from my farms to their countries.

President Biden: Absolutely.

Vincent “Zippy” Duvall President of the American Farm Bureau Federation: And if we don’t fix this problem we will lose our customers.

It fades to black for a second only to pick up with President Biden speaking to the camera.

President Biden: We’ve got to change this. I asked Congress to pass a piece of legislation to remedy this. Democrats and Republicans voted for it–it’s over in the House of Representatives I expect it to be voted on fairly shortly, and I expect it to pass. And I’m looking forward to signing it, because we’ve got to bring down prices. The underlying elements of our economy are incredibly strong, stronger than any other nation in the world. But inflation is a problem. This won’t solve it all, but it will solve a big piece of it.

President Biden remarks to CEO’s is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. D.C., time–11:00 a.m. CA., time.
