This morning President Donald J. Trump got on Twitter and posted a series of rants about the Media, Witch Hunts, Fake News, Tariffs, and then this happened…
Fake News reporting, a complete fabrication, that I am concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower. This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics – and it went nowhere. I did not know about it!

Just in case somebody on the Trump legal team deletes it, below is a screenshot of the confession Tweet.

President Trump today confessed that his son, son-in-law, and campaign chair met in June 2016 with Russian agents in hope of obtaining Russian intelligence to sway the 2016 election. Trump – who denies advance knowledge of the meeting – defends it as "totally legal."
I worked on the Obama campaign and we would never, ever, have held a meeting with a foreign power to "get information on an opponent." It doesn't happen "all the time in politics" – it's immoral, unpatriotic and part of a broader effort that was illegal. https://t.co/qKz8NcgwkB

Authors note: I an effort to remain somewhat balanced I tried to find any credible defence for Trump’s confession Tweet on Twitter, however there was none to be found. The usual Suspects, were tweeting about some Spy that drove Senator Dianne Feinstein around.

Federal law, Section 30121 of Title 52, states that it is a crime for a foreign national to contribute money or other items of value to an American election, as well as making it illegal for an American to solicit such a contribution.
