Trump Tweets: Symbols of Fake News

It’s Tuesday.

The government remains partially closed.

CNN reported on Tuesday that with the government unlikely to re-open today that “some 800,000,” federal employees will miss their second paycheck.

As the News Blender reported the Supreme Court on Friday failed to take up “appeals of lower court rulings that prevent the government from shutting DACA down,” which means that by not taking up DACA, the government will be required to keep DACA for at least another ten months.

CNBC News that on Tuesday the Justices once again took no action on the DACA case before them allowing the program to continue.

In a rare Saturday afternoon address to the nation, President Trump laid out a plan that would give DACA recipients aka Dreamers, a three year extension in exchange for in part, the $5.7 billion he has demanded to start building a border wall. As the News Blender reported the Democrats have rejected the deal, that CNN reports is expected to go to the Senate floor on Thursday for a procedural vote that is likely to fail if the Republicans can not peel off at least seven Democrat Senators.

On Sunday President Trump tweeted a record setting forty times. That count includes the re-tweets.

On Monday President Trump had a slower start to his tweeting by only issuing four of his own tweets and re-tweeting one from the Sunday Forty. He ended his Monday tweeting by tweeting out five more tweets.

  1. He explains that China’s economy is slowing, and how it “makes so much sense for China to finally do a Real Deal.”
  2. He asks how come if “Nancy Pelosi” thinks walls are “immoral” she’s not calling for our border fences and walls at ports of entry to be taken down.
  3. He then mentions a horrible crime in Nevada, where four people were robbed and killed by an illegal entry alien. Users quickly reminded the President of the 58 people killed in the Vegas shooting.
  4. He tweeted how Democrats are kidding themselves that we can stop crime and such without a wall.
  5. He then for the first time weighed in on the controversy surrounding “Nick Sandman” and Native American Nathan Phillips. Saying that it looks like the Covington Catholic school boys were “smeared by the media.”

Tuesday the President started off by re-tweeting a Kaya Jones tweet that she sent in April 2018. Jones according to her IMDb page, has one movie credit to her name, The Devils Dozen, in where she played, “Blonde in Limo.” IMDb goes on to say she is best known for being “one of the lead singers for The Pussycat Dolls.”

1. Nick Sandmann and the students of Covington have become symbols of Fake News and how evil it can be.

The controversy surrounding the behavior of the boys who were on a school trip has indeed captivated the attention of the world. New video is surfacing of the boys prior to the events that took place between high school junior Nick Sandmann and Native American Nathan Phillips.

In this video the boys verbally harassing girls.

In this video one of the boys, though it’s unclear which shouts, “it’s not rape if you enjoy it.”

In this long tweet thread, Lisa Sharon Harper, details the events between the high school students and the Black Israelite’s, this took place before Phillips stepped between the groups.

She provides the full video, plus other tweets including photos.

For what it’s worth: Nick Sandmann issued a statement posted in full at CNN.

In the statement Sandmann explains four African American protesters said “hateful things” to the students calling them, “”racists,” “bigots,” “white crackers,” adding they also called them, “incest kids.” Sandmann continued, “They also taunted an African American student from my school by telling him that we would “harvest his organs.” I have no idea what that insult means, but it was startling to hear.”

Opinion: I recommend viewing the whole 22 plus tweet thread, that details the events and interactions between the two groups.

2. “The Democrats are playing politics with Border Security.”

Opinion: Know what else makes us less safe? Those that are in charge of protecting our borders not getting paid, but working anyway, plus the lack of funding also means they are going without all of their resources in order to do their job. And he’s back tweeting as if Utopia is a real thing, stating that without illegal entry aliens, all our crime, drugs addicts, and bad things would magically go away. Crimes are committed by American citizen’s everyday, just as more guns laws won’t make us more safe, neither will a wall.

3. “That has enabled them to gather evidence by UNCONSTITUTIONAL MEANS, and that’s what they did to the President.”

This tweet is connected to other tweets so will be addressed further down.

4. Thank you, working hard!

As the News Blender reported on Monday during President Trump’s Forty tweet Sunday, he mentioned the same poll. The poll was conducted between January 10th and January 13th.

5. If we create a Wall or Barrier which prevents Criminals and Drugs from flowing into our Country, Crime will go down by record numbers!

UTOPIA!

He isn’t wrong the Republican Senators have rallied behind President Trump’s plan to secure the border. As mentioned in the first part of this article, they will need seven Democrats to pass President Trump’s plan on the Senate floor.

6. Fake News…Fake News…

CNN reported from Davos that the International Monetary Fund warned that the “world economy” is slowing. They sited several reasons, including the U.S. government shutdown and President Trump’s tariffs on the EU and China trade tensions.

7. The United States has a great economic story to tell. Number one in the World, by far!

According to Focus Economics the U.S. is still the number one global economy, with China, and Japan, coming in second and third. The article notes these spots shift around, but general contain the same three major players, China, the U.S., and Japan, vying for the number one spot.

8. I told her not to bother, the word gets out anyway!

Opinion: “I told her not to bother, the word gets out anyway!” The reason for daily press briefings is so the Administration can respond to news items of the day, clarify policies, or statements from the President, or others inside the administration, and to give the people, that’s us, the ability to have information from the source, versus, it getting out anyway with several different spins on the item or items of interest. Having been a political junkie for the majority of my life, Sanders, is treated no different than other past Republican and some Democrat Press Secretaries. When a Press Secretary enters the White House briefing room, she or he is doing so as the mouth piece of the President and his or her administration. Sanders last held a press briefing on December 18th, 2018. President Trump made his first and so far only appearance in the White House press briefing room on January 3rd, 2019. As a reminder they work for us…

9. Former FBI top lawyer James Baker just admitted involvement in FISA Warrant and further admitted there were IRREGULARITIES in the way the Russia probe was handled.

10. This meeting, now exposed, is the subject of Senate inquiries and much more. An Unconstitutional Hoax

Tweets 3, 9, and 10, seem to stem from a report by Fox News’ journalist Catherine Herridge.

In her article that was posted to the Fox News website, she explains that “A former top FBI lawyer [James Baker] acknowledged he was personally involved in the warrant application to surveil then-Trump campaign aide Carter Page and confirmed other “unusual” steps taken in the FBI’s Russia probe in 2016, during a closed-door congressional interview.”

She writes that Baker told House investigators in October that he was aware of the Russia investigation, adding that Fox News “has confirmed details of the transcript which is still under government review before its public release.”

She quotes from the testimony as follows:

Question: “So that is why you took the abnormal or unusual step in this particular situation because it was sensitive?”
Baker: “Yes.”
Question: “So you actually got involved because you want to make sure that, what?”
Baker: “I wanted to make sure that we were filing something that would adhere to the law and stand up over time.”

Fox News

For what it’s worth: In October of 2018 The Washington Post explains that President Trump’s closest Congressional allies, Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), told the press that Baker’s testimony was “completely new,” and “explosive,” neither offered specifics and Baker declined requests for comment.
