Watch Live: President Trump to Address the Government Shutdown

The government has been closed for 35 days.

Air Traffic was interrupted as a result of short staffing.

President Trump is expected to speaking on the longest Government shutdown in U.S. History.

On Thursday the Senate failed to pass two bills to reopen the government.

It’s being reported by many outlets that President Trump is expected to announce a 3-week short-term reopening of the federal government while both parties come to agreement on border wall funding.

CNN reported on Thursday that White House was preparing a “a draft proclamation for President Donald Trump to declare a national emergency along the southern border and has identified more than $7 billion in potential funds for his signature border wall should he go that route, according to internal documents reviewed by CNN.”

This will be President Trump’s third national address, the first two, focused on the need for a U.S.-Mexico Southern Border Wall, to address the “crisis on the border,” as the News Blender reported, here and here.
