Multiple sources told NBC News that the Democrats plan to announce two Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump, one for abuse of power, the other for Obstruction of Justice on Tuesday morning.
The Washington Post was first to report Democrats plans, according to two people familiar with the matter, the House Judiciary Committee would vote on Thursday for the Articles of Impeachment. Setting up a floor vote for next week.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced the Tuesday press conference on Monday saying the Committee would be discussing the next phase of the Impeachment Inquiry.
President Trump weighed-in on the planned announcement via Twitter Tuesday morning.
