Happy New Year’s Eve, Everyone!
President Trump has not wasted his morning posting via tweet his thoughts as we say goodbye to 2018 and hello 2019.
1. An all concrete Wall was NEVER ABANDONED…
As the News Blender reported on Sunday, outgoing Chief of Staff John Kelly, his last day is Wednesday, told the Los Angeles Times, the idea of a concrete wall at the U.S. Southern Border was abandoned early on in the Trump Administration.
“To be honest, it’s not a wall,” he adds, “The president still says ‘wall’ — oftentimes frankly he’ll say ‘barrier’ or ‘fencing,’ now he’s tended toward steel slats. But we left a solid concrete wall early on in the administration, when we asked people what they needed and where they needed it.”
Los Angeles Times, 12/30/18
White House Counsel to the President Kellyanne Conway also explained on Fox News on Sunday, that, “It is a silly semantic argument because people who just want to say ‘wall, wall, wall’ want it to be a four-letter word and not respect what Customs and Border Patrol and ICE tell us they need, which is enhancements at the border.”
Conway might want to explain the “semantic’s” to her boss.

2. If anybody but Donald Trump did what I did in Syria, which was an ISIS loaded mess when I became President, they would be a national hero…
3. Now when I start getting out the Fake News Media, or some failed Generals who were unable to do the job before I arrived, like to complain about me & my tactics…
4. Except the results are FAR BETTER than I ever said they were going to be! I campaigned against the NEVER ENDING WARS, remember!
As the News Blender reported on the 19th of December, President Trump announced via Twitter the Defeat of ISIS and given that he intended to withdrawal the 2,000 U.S. ground troops from Syria, this decision, led to the resignation of his Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and the resignation of Envoy to the Coalition Fighting the Islamic State, Brett McGurk.
The former commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, Retired Army General Stanley A. McChrystal, gave an interview with ABC This Week’s Martha Raddatz which aired Sunday. During the interview he is asked if he feels President Trump is a “liar,” to which he says, “yes.” She goes on to ask what he would say to President Trump supporters, he replies, “What I would ask every American to do is … stand in front of that mirror and say, ‘What are we about? Am I really willing to throw away or ignore some of the things that people do that are — are pretty unacceptable normally just because they accomplish certain other things that we might like?'”
The full interview can be found @ ABC News.
Outgoing Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis issued his farewell message, via Time:
On February 1, 1865, President Lincoln sent to General Ulysses S. Grant a one sentence telegram. It read: “Let nothing which is transpiring, change, hinder, or delay your military movements, or plans.”
Our Department’s leadership, civilian and military, remains in the best possible hands. I am confident that each of you remains undistracted from our sworn mission to support and defend the Constitution while protecting our way of life. Our Department is proven to be at its best when the times are most difficult. So keep the faith in our country and hold fast, alongside our allies, aligned against our foes.
It has been my high honor to serve at your side. May God hold you safe on the air, on land, and at sea.

For What It’s Worth: When former President Obama announced his plans to remove U.S. ground troops from Iraq, against the advice of his generals, he was called out in the Press, and by Republican Senators, in fact on Sunday, Senator Lindsey Graham, again blamed Obama for the rise of ISIS while speaking to CNN’s Dana Bash.
5. Dems should get back here an fix now!
The new 116th Congress is sworn in on January 3rd, 2019.
7. It is Fake News and Pundits who have FAILED for years that are doing the complaining…
CNN reported that “estimates vary,” as to how many ISIS troops remain as the News Blender reported, the Defense Department Inspector General puts the number around 30,000 ISIS fighters between Syria and Iraq.
8. I’m in the Oval Office…
9. It’s incredible how Democrats can all use their ridiculous sound bite and say that a Wall doesn’t work…
The Washington Post is reporting that House Democrats, who will be the majority party in the House, after January 3rd, 2019, have designed a stopgap spending bill, that will fund the Federal government until February 8th, 2019, ending the partial government shutdown.
The measure still does not give President Trump his demanded $5 billion for the U.S. Southern Border wall. In fact it mirrors the C.R., that passed the Senate, but failed to gain support from House Republican’s, and the President.
Prior to the shutdown President Trump was scheduled for a sixteen day vacation in Florida. After the shutdown began, President Trump decided to stay in D.C., while both Republican’s and Democrats in both chambers left when they failed to reach an agreement on funding the federal government.
For what it’s worth: This is the third partial government shutdown in 2018.
As a reminder: There are only 2 days left in the 115th Congressional year, where currently the Republican’s have a majority in all three branches.
